Two Photos

I took this photo from our back deck, a few weeks ago. We were all watching TV, and I happened to get up and have a look. It was STUNNING. I grabbed the camera, and snapped. Made me feel silly ... that I was inside watching TV like an idiot, and Nature had put on this beautiful display.

My Tiger, making orange juice in striped pyjamas. Note the determination on his face! The mussed up hair! I love him with such an ache, that my heart hurts. I know we have met before. We recognise each other, talk the same language. He is my Shining Star. Shining.

Wow. That's your back deck? Very cool!

I have to take a pic of mine and post it for you.

I love it when those pictures happen. There are a couple of spots that I drive by every day in my drudgie rounds that occasionally blow me away and make me wish I had a camera with me and wasn't driving 50mph.

One day earlier this fall, we were driving by one of my favorite fields ... the one with this lone gorgeous tree at the end of a visual line of this tiny canal of water that glows like a beam reflected the sunlight (I'm terrified they'll build a subdivision over it). The whole field was lit up in a magic blaze of sunset. It's five minutes from home and I made dh drive me to get the camera ... but in just a few moments it was gone.

What a dork. And didn't he tell me so.

I know just what you mean about Tiger. I feel the same about DS1.

XXOOXXOO

D. was here.

I won't compare the view from MY back deck :).

It's the people opposite's messy living room.

How in the hell is that your back deck? I'm going to take a "back porch" picture of my own and show you just how fucking lucky you are!

Oh!!!! And ... I'm THRILLED to hear I have a package coming! OMG. I don't think I've ever gotten a blogger buddy package. I'm giddy. Yes. GIDDY.

I logged on and read your posts and smiled wildly at Tiger and wished like hell I was on your back deck, and thought about Australia and wondered if I'd ever visit and then logged off, sure to come back soon -- but somehow managed not to post until now.

Tiger is your angel -- that's clear --- my brother said of Lucy (and I know, I know, she's my dog...but still) 'she was sent here to watch over you -- to care for you --- and I have to believe that there are some bonds that are just that powerful...

Oh, look at your little man! What a handsome sweetheart he is. You really have the most beautiful sons.

I love the view from your back porch. I'll occasionally catch the sunset from our kitchen and think "I can't believe I'm watching TV instead of this! What a jerk I am!"

Love both pix. I can't believe that's your view. My view is best illustrated in the opening credits of The Sopranos, so I'm totally jealous.

And Tiger just might be the sweetest thing. He's been amazing through all this. You have so much to be proud of - but I don't need to tell you that.
